I am Akshat Bajpai, a software engineer working across C++, Python, distributed computing, infrastructure, platforms, computer vision, and technically complex products.

I build and debug production software where concurrency, reliability, observability, performance, and real customer outcomes matter. My product work includes Quantis, a full-stack quantitative-research platform built around a native C++20 analytics engine, secure web services, and an interactive research workspace. Build performance-sensitive storage software and engineering infrastructure across multiple teams, from OneFS operating-system layers to distributed build-and-test platforms.

  • OS and storage: developed C/C++ and Python components across Linux/FreeBSD user-space and kernel-adjacent layers for snapshots, Object Lock/WORM, RBM, inter-node messaging, and Platform APIs.
  • Performance and debugging: optimized concurrent and multithreaded workflows and diagnosed production issues using GDB, tracing, logs, Linux diagnostics, profiling, and root-cause analysis.
  • Build infrastructure: helped deliver distributed build-and-test tooling supporting 15,000+ engineers and 1,200+ daily workflows; caching and parallel execution reduced build times by more than 40%.
